Anyone going to see it? I might be going with a group to go watch it. Any thoughts on the cast? I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about the show, but right now it looks like a fun time.

Thanks for starting this thread. I maybe interested in seeing this in Orlando and had a question. Does anyone know if the touring cast will have any of the Original Broadway Cast? Supporting roles,etc I'm not looking for replacements, but those who may have been featured on the OBC recording.

I'm going to see it in Orlando also! Maricio Martínez is new to the show, but Christie Prades was a swing in the Broadway company. No additional cast other than the two leads was announced though.

I saw Christie as Gloria on Broadway and she was wonderful - great presence and energy and a gorgeous voice. The show is very uplifting and has a wonderful message stemming from Gloria and Emilio's journey with Gloria's music career and how they challenged a lot of the music business on their practices. I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing Christie and the show again on the road.

So Alma Cuervo is the only principal original Broadway cast member who will be part of the tour recreating her Abuela role. I'm surprised Ana Villafane wasn't selected to do the Miami dates of the tour.

Technically Kevin Tellez is too (though he was the alternate Nayib/Young Emilio). There are also a handful of ensemble members who were part of the OBC (including David Baida, who made me laugh no matter how many times I saw the show)

I saw the show in Costa Mesa this afternoon. On Your Feet is beautifully energetic fun. A few understudies particularly for Gloria, Emilo and Rebecca were on. But the two leads had excellent voices. The show would be more enjoyable if the songs were performed more accurate to when they were written. The energy and storyline however were the redeeming aspects. After Coming Out of the Dark was performed, the stage manager came on stage to announce a minor technical issue with the sets and it took five minutes to fix. That has never happened when I’m there in the middle of a show. After that, the cast continued with the Mega Mix.
