Just caught up with this show, tonight and enjoyed it far more than I expected. It's not life-altering, but it is fun.
We couldn't help but notice that, while everyone's costumes looked fine and fit, as they should, Josh Segarra's costumes all looked like they belonged to his little brother. Every one of them was ill-fitting. We wondered if this was a choice since none of the online photos of Emilio seem to show him poorly dressed.
Not terribly important, we were just curious if there was a reason.
Think you may be the only questioning this..... Many people enjoy the sight of his tight costumes. I would think it was a choice.
I know I didn't question it...

I think they're fit tightly to make him sexier so you understand her attraction to him. In a show that kind of treats this musical genius/charming man like a bumbling Ricky Ricardo it draws you to him. I didn't complain, at least.

A Tony should go for those white shorts alone.

Ha. I didn't hear complaints, but even folks next to us mentioned it at intermission. Maybe the shorts were a Jerry Mitchell touch :)
I think the whole show, much like the Emilio character, is rather superficial, but no denying the talent involved and love Alma Cuervo.

They're not ill fitting, they're just tight. There's a difference. Segarra has said that Emilio wore shorter shorts in real life.
Much preferred Segarra's costume, or lack thereof, in Trainwreck.
