Not necessarily one scene, but Gooch in MAME is a fairly small and extremely memorable role.

Rutledge is present in the congress scenes.
And then, the courier who sings "Mama, Look Sharp" does nothing but sing that song.
1776 has quite a few one-scene/song wonders.

I think Margaret Mead in HAIR steals the show as such. Whilst it's hard to 'steal' the show with Hair, I believe that this character is for sure a major highlight.

I always thought Margaret Mead stopped the show. In a bad way.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Doatsie Mae in "Whorehouse" song: "Doatsie Mae"
Mistress in "Evita" "Another Suitcase in Another Hall"
Boy Soldier in "1776" "Mama Look Sharp"

Agreed about Doatsie Mae.
You could even argue the Governor and "The Sidestep", too.

I'm surprised it's taken this long, but... Marilyn Cooper in Woman of the Year. One scene and song late in Act 2 and she walked off with it.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

When done 'right', Bazzard/Phillip Bax's "Never the Luck" solo at the tail-end of Act I of THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD.

Bit of a stretch maybe because I know he is part of other numbers, but Bui Doi in Miss Saigon is pretty much the only time John really gets centre stage and that song is heartbreaking and for me a hugely poignant pat of the production .
I totally agree with whoever said the strippers and Gotta Get A Gimmick. I've taken that number out of context and used it in a concert setting on more than one occasion and it still brings the house down every time no matter who performs it. It really is fool proof.

Jolene's "Oklahoma" in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, although that may not steal the show away from Freddy

Love or hate it... Cynthia in Priscilla virtually stole the show.
More respectively, the mistress' "Another Suitcase In Another Hall" from Evita *can* often be a show stealing role/number.

The Bazzard I saw in Boston had also played Jim Conley earlier that year and was an EXPERT show stealer.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Grandma Addams in The Addams Family. She had a very small part, but she was always adding improv here and there, and Jackie Hoffman made the best of that part, she may have been my favorite character. And the few lines she had I found very amusing.

When I did LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, the director gave the roles in "The Meek Shall Inherit" to additional actors instead of giving them to Orin (a choice that I am against). However, the actors playing Bernstein and Luce gave two of the most strongest and most memorable performances in the production.
