Only 2 in person lotteries left

I know there are multiple pages talking about online lotteries, but I just wanted to bring this up. Wicked and Book of Mormon are the only two shows with in person lotteries still (but in some form they also have a online lottery). I personally liked in person lotteries so much better because there were a lot less people I get people have things to do and can't always make it but digital lotteries make it so hard to actually end up seeing the show.

What's the purpose of the lotteries? To me the purpose of the lotteries was to reward true fans of the show that were willing to arrive hours before the show for a chance to win tickets.



By going online, I don't think the true fan is being rewarded as more people enter the online lottery as casual fans at best.



How is the show benefitting by giving away prime seats for $10? The only benefit I see is to beef up the number of tickets sold. However, if that was the case why not give away the cheap seats instead of the prime seats? What's the point?



If the show wants to eliminate the in person lottery, why not eliminate the lottery and sell the prime seats for face value?
