Wow, they're very generous. Usualy for such big shows they're hardcore Equity only, and never do you heard "no experience".

Now I just need to turn 18 and move to Boston.

Under-18-year-olds, by law, cannot be bound by contracts. Since neither of these shows has children in it (except for the Little Inez character in "Hairspray"), it wouldn't be worth the hassel to audition those under 18.

this age sucks. i can't audition for anything... i'm too old to play a child, and too young to play an adult. and all the adults take over the teen characters. curse this world!

this is great. i think theyre doing it because all those people will be auditioning for American Idol up there. its a perfect place to get all these pop/rock singers to an audition.

Well, my friend David went to a similar open call. He said that it was crowded with lots of young adults (mostly girls)...and they cut the Non-Equity audition songs to 8 bars. It's a madhouse.
