She has to *be* acting to get credit for it. A handful of dialogue before you burst into song is not exactly a proper gauge for acting skills. I have all the faith that once she does more none singing roles, all the naysayers will go away at last. It's the plight of all great musical theater performers.

Musefanme- also after she got out of her recording career, she was finally able to use her real rock vocal chops playing Janis Joplin in the musical "Love Janice"

Orfeh's got a whole lot more up her sleeve than the what the broadway community appears to give her credit for. One day, she will be able to show all the naysayers just what a undeniable talent she is.

I was so excited years ago when Rosie had Kristen Chenoweth on when she was just beginning! and Rosie had her on a couple of more times, she loved her! Miss Rosie!

I saw Saturday Night Fever opening night also, and if anyone had told me Orfeh was NOT going to nominated I would had said youze nutz. She stole the show, not only in song but she broke everyone's heart.

i have never seen Orfeh live, just in Legally blonde on MTV, but I did see Andy Karl 5 years ago in GREASE at Papermill and he rocked! Does she sing country music?

It was but she got 3 nods for Blonde so that was better than good in my book. I love all the Orfeh videos on you tube. I'd call her a definite trend setter (albeit a bit unsung), in the tween pop genre.

Thanks- that "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" was amazing- I might have just ripped the audio from that for d/l to my iPod.
