ODC dosen't need to make a closing announcment because its always been billed as a "limited engagment" it was just extended indeffinently. Its a nonprofit production and they follow a "west end" theater running where the shows run until the end of their booking period. Anything Goes is doing the same thing as ODC it has extended for over a year, but hasnt announced its "closing" but we all know it will be come september 8th, because thats the end of its booking period. Anything Goes is still a limited engament even though it has run for almost a year and a half because Roundabout never said it was an open-ended run, they simply kept extending it, which is the same thing LCT did with Other Desert Cities.

if people are miffed about ODC possibly winning a Tony and then closing just think of how it will be when Death of a Salesman wins best revival and has already closed before the Tonys.
