In the article it says they are looking to bring it in the fall because all the houses are full for the spring. So what's going into the Court and the Booth?

HIGH is going into the Booth.
EDIT- The Golden will also be free when DRIVING MISS DAISY closes on April 9. It's a tight window, but still enough time to get an already established production up and running before the Tony cut-off.

Yeah, I feel like they could find space. Plus who knows what will last. I mean, John L.'s show at the Lyceum could open and close in a week.
I saw this on Tuesday night and was completely blown away by the performances and the play itself. A truly outstanding night at the theater...and well worth the $85 I had to shell out to get in. I wonder if it could work at the Circle in the Square...

Yes, I enjoyed this play very much and loved every one of the actors. The former Shubert regime would have moved this play right away, because it's already sold out off Broadway and has a great shot of being a hit on Broadway as well. It would certainly be helped by Tony noms. But the current Shubert regime apparently doesn't have the same commercial instincts: they'd rather put new, untried stuff into their theaters instead.
EDIT: Why the hell is "High" coming to Broadway? It got a mixed Times review out of town, and undoubtedly will again, which means it won't last long because its star, Kathleen Turner, isn't a sure draw at the box office. There are always producers ready to lose money on Broadway, I guess.

I found this play glib, facile, and sorely overrated.
It could prove a popular success on Broadway, but don't forget, there are a lot more seats to fill in a Broadway house than at the Newhouse.

The performances were excellent, the play itself is just okay. Most importantly, it's exactly the sort of liberal, literate tastefully furnished play that LCT's subscriber base wants to see. They needed to redeem themselves bigtime after alienating most of their audience with Women and Free Man.
If the Broadway transfer doesn't happen until next fall, they need either to keep the names in the cast or to find new ones that will sell - it's a big part of why it's an in-demand ticket.

Wow, I liked it but I didn't leave LCT thinking it was a sure bet on Broadway. The actors are all terrific, but was the play that amazing?
