Well I like to think i have a nice range. I have just over 2 octaves (low Ab to high B in tenor). Hopefully it will keep improving, seeing as I'm only 18 I'm sure it will.
The picture beside is me and Katisha (she has performed and Covent Gargen with Pavarotti!). It's not the best photo but it's the only one i have on me

So I am not an actor, but I think I am the only German guy on this board. I am surpised how much actors are on this board, here in Germany the boards are mostly full with fans. I am singing a bit too and I am writing reviews of shows playing in Germany. I did also a traineeship at the German version of AIDA. Unfortunately the show is not very successful here in Germany, but I think one reason are the expensive tickets.
So if some is comming to Germany, tell me.

paradox_error Just over 2 octaves, eh? That is indeed a nice range, but I'm surprised. To do "Audrey 2" I assumed you'd have some serious bass notes. But, as you said, you're only 18 (which I didn't realize before), so I'm guessing a lot of these productions you've been doing are in school or are youth-oriented? God knows, I used to get cast in roles I definitely wouldn't be able to play in the professional world. Anita in West Side Story for example. (I'm not exactly the most Puerto Rican-looking girl on the block...) Anyway, my range is just under 3 octaves, and I wish I had two more half-steps up top. Oh, well. (I go low C to high Bflat. Wish I had that high C.) *sigh*
Quasi Hello! Where in Germany do you live? Good luck with your singing!

I am living in the so called Ruhrgebiet! Its about 70 miles from Cologne and the biggest cities around are Dortmund, Essen and Düsseldorf.
My range for singing are 2 and a half octave, but I am a bass-bariton so the most modern literature of musicalsongs is to high for me.

well i don't have serious bass notes...but i had enough to do the role. I did a lot of vocal acrobatics and took a lot of the notes up to high g's/a's just for fun. It worked really well and i hear i stole the show. Most of the shows i have done are amateur, with a couple of school shows. Nanki-Poo is my first non-amateur role, and working with this cast has been just incredible. The show has sold out for the entire season, and its been fantastic.

Hi, Dianna!
Small world! I sure do know Nate. He's one of my favorite people in the cast, actually. (He came to see the last play I did, The Bungler at West Coast Ensemble, and he's supposed to come see me in Paint Your Wagon at the Geffen at some point.) =) And I knew R Scott, too, but he left the show back in August or September...
Are you local to LA, or what? If you live in the area and are interested, we have an invited dress today for PYW. I'll PM you the details.
Best,
Erika
