I can't believe I just spent a boatload on front row mezz tickets for a Saturday matinee in March. But, it's been 34 years since I've last seen it. May as well pony up the cash.

I'm curious if they're being held off... for either invited guests (there's NO WAY they could fit everyone they'd want to like alumni on the 16th) or to be released closer to time."
I had a similar experience. I started refreshing the page repeatedly after 9:30 a.m. because neither the Phantom website or Telecharge had been updated to reflect the new closing date. At about 9:57 a.m. the closing date info on Telecharge changed to April and then the remaining dates opened for sale at about 9:59 a.m. There were immediately no seats at any price in center orchestra, at least as far back as row K or L.
I never did get the "Waiting Room" page, although I have a friend who did.

In June, I paid $99 or $109 for two tickets in the first-row center for the evening's performance. Didnt even had to pay a fee, because I got them at the box-office. The seats were great...the stage is not high, there is no dancing to speak of, etc. Those seats are now on sale for $518 in the last batch of tickets. You can buy tickets in the 18th row center and still pay $518. Phantom is definitely going to go out a winner to the end, based on the demand to see it just one more time. I would imagine it will also break the all-time box office records a number of times in the last two months, based on the size of the theatre and those prices. Just amazing.
I was thinking about getting tickets for the last performance, as I had seen the first preview in 1988, so it seemed fitting. Luckily, it was sold-out, so i did not have to come north sooner than I usually do, nor did I need to spend a lot of time debating my (un-)willingness to pay those prices. The Majestic is one of the theatres where I will not sit in the rear mezzanine...it feels to me like you are in another state.

You mean the final *public* performance, right? I don't believe any tickets are available for the final, final performance.
