Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:36pmI love POTO as much as anyone. However, your movie cast "justifications" are a little harsh and silly. I can tell you loved the cast; bully for you. However, Gerard Butler, as much as I loved him in the role, has a very rough voice that some people simply do not equate with the part. I do not foresee him on stage. If critics and fans say stupid things about him, well, then that is their concern. They have an opinion as we do. Emmy Rossum needs A LOT of training to be able to sing Christine on stage. I have heard her recently and I don't think she sounds any more like a Christine now than she did while filming. Patrick Wilson could do his role but has said he does not want to. My two cents.

Hello?? I just posted about your "speech". I said I loved him in the role. He has a very rough voice. I did not say I HATED his singing, now did I? I said do not whine about those who do not like it.
And there were some flaws in the movie. It was not a perfect film by any means.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:46pmI thought the managers did a decent job. Did you hear Simon Callow in "Masquerade"? I think he holds back when he sings with the other guy, Ciaran Hinds. Listen, though, and he has a great voice. "...of elysian peace!" is a case in point. Plus they were so freaking hilarious, the both of them. And Minnie Driver.
