PRISCILLA opting to advertise the men now

Still doesn't look like drag queens.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Afraid it's a matter of too late. I LOVE the show, but fear that it'll be gone by the end of summer. Very sad.

I gotta give it to them for trying. I personally just loved this show. It was just a lot of fun. Wish it was doing better, but the palace is just too big for a show like this.

The new commercial displays the men, but it's just Bette talking about how FABULOUS it is and saying "See ya there! PRISCILLA opting to advertise the men now "

the show was DOA anyway. Whoever thought puritan American family Audiences would flock to this show was dead wrong.
the show is gone...

Making a promise like "I'll see you there," she'd better find herself a part in the damn show if she wants it to sell anything that looks remotely like tickets.

Bette's name has not been above the title on the marquee until now.

Considering it's so far down the poster and in such small type I can't see how it's going to help the show. People in front of the theatre last night didn't even notice her name until I pointed it out to them.

It's also interesting that they chose a photo that most people say is "2 boys and some blonde woman." Asked a few what they thought the show was about - "Some mom from the 50's and her 2 sons. The gay one likes Barbie because he's wearing Barbie shorts."

I wish them well, but i think this is a case of - too little, too late. Not the fault of the cast or company, but the producers really screwed this one up.

In all honesty it is a tough show to advertise anyways. I think the best way to go would have been to use the original design that's on the cast album, and maybe put a big heel on top of the marquee to draw attention. I don't think we need a picture of the 3 girls or the 3 leads.

Also, I was standing outside the Marquee theater and I noticed Midler's name. So, it's not that small.
