So overall, how is the recording compared to the live performances. I wasn't really crazy about the show itself but they did sing the heck out of most of the songs.
I will be featuring this new OCR on my program this Saturday morning (8 to 9am) and Warner has given me some extra copies to give away. Listen for details. Winners will be drawn and the CD's mailed out Monday afternoon.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
Got mine in the mail from Barnes & Noble today!
I'm happy Boogie Wonderland isn't on it, but not about the "Holiday/Like A Virgin" mashup.
What's wrong with Boogie Wonderland?
We bought our soundtracks three days ago at the Barnes and Noble on 86th street. Cast Performance and Cd signing made for a very special and fun afternoon. What a joy to hear them sign in this terrific performance space the store built specially for these events. I recommend it.
The recording is awesome. I have been listening to it and it is very well done. It captures the show and performances really well. Get it !! You won't be disappointed.
