Pajama Game on TV NOW

i just the performance, not any pre interview so i was a bit confused. overall, i dont know what to say because its obviously different from Piazza so i will watch it again later and see what opinions i have it. Also, it is clear that Matt LOVES kelly, i dont know if its because she's pretty or something she said, but he just made it known Pajama Game on TV NOW

"So how's the dancing, Harry?"

"Eh, not the best, Matt."

"No, don't let Harry fool you, Matt. He's whipping it out on stage every night!"

Aahhh, love ya, Kelli!

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

They sang THERE ONCE WAS A MAN...but in a distincly different arrangement than what's in the show.

Less Bonanza and more...well...Harry Connick Jr. One imagines he arranged it.

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

I have tickets for a couple of weeks and really didn't like the arrangement of the song they sang on tv. Kelli looked wonderful though, and Harry was very complimentary towards her. I'm looking forward to seeing it after all of the wonderful things I have heard.

I'll probably be in the minority, but I liked the new arrangement - I think its sometimes a good time to rethink songs for t.v appearances.

What I came away with from that performance is that they have SERIOUS chemistry together. That makes me want to see the show even more now.

The arrangement in the show (unless it's changed) is the fun, Bonanza one.

No, not at all. This was a special arrangement for the Today show. Like robbiej said the arrangement in the show is the "fun Bonanza one."

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

No - clearly they just wanted the song to be a little more traditional Harry Connick Jr. sounding for the T.V. appearance which is smart. Most of his following are jazz fans - and that appearance will appeal to a lot more people than a traditional arrangement of "There Once Was a Man."

It's all about selling tickets.

I loved that song! I haven't heard the original, and I was going to ask if the entire album is all jazzed up, but what is this Bonanza thing? Isn't Bonanza that cowboy tv show? And how is that fun?

I'm so lost.

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

It's a kinda jazzy rendition...fun, but it really doesn't sell the show that well. But they both look great!

FUN FUN FUN

Kellie is GORGEOUS, wow! I didn't think they sounded that great but it looked like they were having a fun time!

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

Kelli's voice sounds fab in this style

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

Well Captain...the original arrangement has a country/western twangy sound while the one they just performed is similiar to what you'd hear on a Harry Connick Jr. album...that jazzy New Orleans/Dr. John sound.

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

The arrangement in the show is in a "bonanza" style...western-ish fast strumming guitar type thing. I can't explain it because I'm an idiot, but basically it's more upbeat and very "yee-haw!"...

I hope that didn't just confuse you more...

Frankly, that just sounds bad. I used to watch all those westers on TV, and loved Ms Kitty, but I dunno if I'd like it now.

Next time I go in for a haircut, I'm gonna tell the stylist to give me Harry hair. God, he's hot.

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

I just feel in love with Kelli all over agian. Her performance was wonderful and has now made me want to see the show! I don't care that much for Connick, I like him and all but Kelli was jaw dropping!

re: Pajama Game on TV NOW

Has anyone been able to get that video to work who has a Mac? I'm having trouble and I really want to see it as I love The Pajama Game and Kelli O'Hara. Is there any way someone can post this video on one of those websites like youtube.com?
