Well considering she's played a great Christine before, I don't really consider this French casting as random haha. I would love to see her as Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (which she did in concert once), Clara in Passion, Anna in The King and I, Betty in Sunset Boulevard, and Magnolia in Show Boat.

lauraosnesandi totally nailed it. She would be an amazing Anna in a number of years.
I also personally think she'd make a phenomenal Eliza Doolittle, but I know that's a topic of contention here.

I think she could make a fantastic Eliza Doolittle (although Phillipa Soo is the top of my list)!
And especially with her ALW connection, I could see her playing Betty in a "Sunset Boulevard" revival.

How cool of her parents to choose Sierra as her first and middle name. When you love it, you love it, I guess.

At this point, just anyone but Christine. She's not the only actress to have ever played the part, nor is she the only talented actress/singer they could have chosen.
I really wish she would move on.

I definitely think she'd be amazing in My Fair Lady, I'm pretty sure the role will be given to Laura Benanti though. I think she'd be AMAZING in Carousel though.

For some reason I read all these post in the voice of a 13 year old boy who doesn't really understand that he is still yelling all the time.

Now that she's back in NYC, since Phantom is postponed indefinitely, I read she's currently attached to Sondheim's latest project. Still early in the process. I'd like to see her back on the stage in a much deeper role

What Elfuhbuh said.
I always thought she'd make a really good Claudia in NINE.
And of all the R&H leading ladies, I actually think Laurey Williams suits her best.

I liked her "The Lusty Month Of May", so I guess Guinevere in Camelot might be a good fit.

I loved her Tonight, but Maria from "West Side Story" is certainly not a good fit. However, I'm hoping to see her as Betty in "Sunset Boulevard" in the upcoming revival. But that would also make me want a cast recording, which doesn't seem probable. It's about time she took on some Sondheim, though! I hope that's true.

Cinders, Sierra as Betty in Sunset would be stupendous.

I'd love to see her do Mother in Ragtime down the road. She'd sound glorious.
Also, not that this show needs another production anytime soon, but she'd be a perfect Maria Von Trapp.

She's too young for Clara and Anna and too old for Magnolia. Sarah Brown isn't a bad idea. My issue is that she has a beautiful and strong soprano but I think she can come across dull as an ingenue or singing serious ballads. Sarah Brown at least has some humor. Guinevere does have has comedic songs but I imagine her "Before I Gaze At You Again" and "I Loved You Once in Silence" as particularly dreary. It's early. I can't think of any fun soprano parts in shows that haven't had recent revivals.
After seeing Laura Michelle Kelly, I'm more convinced than ever that My Fair Lady should be led by a British actress.

I've never understood her appeal. Sure she can hit some impressive notes, but nothing I've seen her do indicates that she's a good actress. She always seems to me very wooden and distant, even if the show doesn't call for it.

I'm inclined to agree that Sierra's acting is not a draw. She has a classic Disney Princess-type voice that has nostalgic appeal for many (including me). But I could never see her as Clara Johnson or even Anna Leonowens, simply because (as of now) she hasn't shown that she can knock truly meaty roles out of the park.
