They both had makeovers, LOL, and not exactly for the better...Mandy looks ~ 20 yrs older with that beard, Patti's got the shot pixie in all the advertising. Is that a wig?
They sound good though. Is this from the Broadway production??

I didn't remember them giving stories or talking to the audience *at all* like this when I saw this.
"In Buddy's Eyes"? I dont' remember that either. Probably wasn't the best idea for her to sing it like that considering the easy comparison to Bernadette Peters' masterful performance.
Guh. I wish I could have seen Patti in GYPSY.

No, that's her real hair. I really hope she cuts it before the show opens, though.
And they didn't talk to the audience when I saw it (4 years ago), but I wonder if that was just something for the press preview. Patti definitely sang In Buddy's Eyes, though.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Posted: 10/24/11 at 6:04pmI know Mandy has done "In Someone's Eyes" in his solo concerts. I'm sure they've added, removed, and substituted new material for Broadway. Looking forward to seeing this even though I do hope LuPone cuts her hair and Patinkin shaves his beard---they really don't look anything like the photos online/on the marquee, haha. It's still ~ 4 weeks away from opening so they may indeed spruce up their appearances.
