Patti's Annie Broadway Bound?

Does anyone think that the Ravinia's version of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN with Patti is capable of having a Broadway run? Would it EVER happen?
I really really want to see Patti in another classic, traditional revival role soon - like Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes and Oliver!

How about she just records Granny Get Your Gun and leave it at that? I'd rather a recording than a Broadway revival.

The answer is no.

Please no. No to a revival of the show, and definitely no to Patti as the star of it.

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

If this makes it to Broadway, then I'd be 100% sure we'd also see another revival of SUNDAY and NIGHT MUSIC within 5 years. This woman is on a vendetta.

(:P).

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Well, it almost certainly wouldn't be starring Patti what with Women on the Verge and stuff...

And I just HOPE it wouldn't!

I definitely would like a recording of it. By the time a revival actually got off the ground, she'd definitely be too old to play Annie.

Patti's Annie Broadway Bound?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Photoshops on this thread ROCK.

And, even if for some reason this was even a possibility, it wouldn't happen this season because she's committed to WOMEN ON THE VERGE.

Once heard a story about a telegram that Ethel Merman sent Debbie Reynolds when she was touring in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, it said - "How Dare You". I'd imagine if she were alive today the one she would send Patti Lupone would be somewhat stronger.

This was a PERFECT Annie Get Your Gun that should go to Broadway.
