Patti's catching up to Bernadette — Page 2

Two roles is not a vendetta. Patti also played Fosca, Mrs. Lovett, Desiree Armfeldt, Cora Hoover Hooper and the Dana Ivey roles in Sunday...George at Ravinia. None of those roles were played by Bernadette on Broadway. In a concert, I don't think the age matters any more than race or staging or costumes. It's simply to feature the music. And it's not as if Bernadette weren't 51 when she did the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun.

I thought it was funny. (But some people take their divas seriously).

You joke, but I'd actually like to see this.
Show queens dish that Merman and Martin hated each other. Not true. The reason they got along is that Mary always deferred to Ethel. Mary knew she was #2 and happy to be that.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Isn't he rumored for the Sondheim thing with Barbara Cook?
I think Annie Oakley was a teenager when she was discovered, the funniest part is that her brothers and sisters are always played by ten year olds, but I guess in the backwoods a man could have a daughter that's 60 and a son that's 10 if he's 80.
Merman and Martin were friendly even after Martin took the TONY for SOUND OF MUSIC over Merm's Rose.
Her famous quote was:
"You can't buck a nun."

Mods have been deleting anything they deem "offensive"...

Ok, perhaps the opposite of my post will be less offensive.
Bernadette totally doesn't have plastic surgery and spends all her money on her children :).
