haha idina has said herself that she cant dance
Tango Maureen proves this!
hehe
oooh. Ann Reinking is so TERRIBLE! :p
For all Joanna Gleason lacks in dancing, she makes up for TRIPLE in singing.
the boys dancing with sherie rene scott in "here i am" kick much higher than she.
Starsinger- Did I miss something? "Tango: Maureen" gave off the illusion that Idina CAN dance.

Kerry Butler SAYS she can't dance, although it pretty much looks like she can because she gets all the steps down if you look at the "BAT BOY" rehearsal photos.
Curtain...i take it you didn't see her Tap dance with the Boston Pops after she won the Tony?
Um, I think Cheno can dance. Like the above poster said - she CAN tap. When she does concerts, she dances for "Let Yourself Go" - and danced in ANNIE.
She isn't Gwen Verdon - but I actually think she could handle a dance role like Roxie Hart.
Michael Arden, bless him, isn't a great dancer .... but he makes up for it in charisma and vocal talent!
Michael Arden is doing a Twyla Tharp show. He's not a great dancer? He went through multiple auditions WITH Twyla to get that part.
Adam Pascal all the way! He is sweet, but he just needs to sit his butt in a chair and sing.

John Lithgow cannot sing or dance but who cares.
luvtheemcee, Michael Arden's part was originally made for John Selya, (Twyla says she 'falls in love' with all her dancers) but they decided they wanted someone who was a singer more of a dancer.
When me and my friends saw Michael Arden after the show, my friend exclaimed, "Michael, we didn't know you were a dancer!" And he said, "I still don't know if I am"!
^ Yeah Starsinger, what the heck are you talking about? Idina has been known to say that she's a bad dancer but I wouldn't say that "Tango:Maureen" proves that in any way - I was actually floored that they got her to dance that well.
Yeah I was really suprised at how well Idina did during Tango Maureen. She seemed really focused and she has some great flexibility going on.
Annie...I still love you. No matter what those crazy people say! (lol)
Barbara isn't the best. My mom and I joke about all times she is carried around by the waiters during Hello, Dolly!. I hear Patti isn't all that great too.
I love the Ann Reinking dancing vs. singing comments

Although calling her a performer is quite a stretch, Melanie Griffith cant dance.
Cheno, as far as I know, is a good dancer. Not great, but good. She took ballet when she was younger and probably some other classes along the way. She was up for a Belle understudy back in the day but didn't get it due to her height. Now look at her!
Um...who says Ann Reinking can't dance?? She was one of Fosse's best girl for Christ sake! She can dance her hiny off. It's the singing department where she takes the bench.

I agree with volleyballer - George Hearn cannot dance. The movement he was given in the original LA CAGE was minimal. And he knows it. When he won his LA CAGE Tony he acknowledged it when he thanked the choreographer. He said "I'd like to thank Scott Salmon, another in a long line of choreographers, I have reduced to tears."
When me and my friends saw Michael Arden after the show, my friend exclaimed, "Michael, we didn't know you were a dancer!" And he said, "I still don't know if I am"!
Michael was self-conscious, yes, but Twyla gave him that part because she thought he could do it well. Yes, Arden is a singer/actor whereas Selya is a dancer, but he can't NOT dance.
There is a distinct different between someone who has two left feet and a performer who moves well, but isn't particularly known as a dancer.
Thank you, Kevinoes! May you be blessed with "jazz hands"! (lol)

I think Idina did extremely well in Tango Maureen for not being a dancer. I won't say anything about Adam because he's been picked on too much and even though he can't dance, I still love him.

Roger Bart's dancing during "I Wanna Be a Producer" is adorable. I wanted to jump up on stage and give him a hug. Of course, I kinda always want to do that...

I dont recall Michael Arden dancing that much in The times they are a changing. If he did dance, it prob. did not stand out to me, because it was def. nowhere near what the other performers were doing. I just remember his part a lot of standing, and at one point bouncing on a trampoline.
