^That's very kind of you! However, all is well. Thank you very, very much! I live with my mom, only see him every 2 weeks or so. He's not my biological dad, but he's the guy I grew up knowing as my dad. My mom makes the ultimate decision, really. She's definitely more open to things regarding college, but still pretty...Blah. I'm gonna post my questions on CollegeConfidential because many people there are wondering the same thing! Haha.

My dad thinks I should be a farmer. If any of you guys knew me personally, you'd understand why that is probably the funniest things ever. Once I tell my mom that, she'll burst out laughing!(Nothing against farmers. My point is that I'm sooooo the opposite of a farmer. Lol)

Another thing is, with savings, money we've received from relatives, etc., if my tuition is $6000 a year and R&B+meals is $10000, I have my first year completely paid for! Not to mention, I'm scholarship hunting like it's nobody's business! While in college, I do plan on looking into getting an agent if possible, looking for jobs, etc. I know some actors have left college for their careers. You were saying you spent $600 a month on voice lessons. Well, if I made as much as you, and didn't do voice lessons, that approx $600 could go to student loans. Makes sense to me...

BTW, I've been keeping up with The Little Orchard House. Nice Personal life of a Broadway performer

Hello, Brooke! I wasn't sure if I should PM you or not, but it wasn't super important, so I just thought I'd put it here.

You may know that MTI released the rights to Hairspray a few weeks ago. 3 high schools in Wichita (including my school) were interested in doing it. BTW, I live in Wichita. Anyway, One school backed out, and turns out, our director bought the rights to it yesterday and signed away! Come this November, we'll be performing Hairspray! Yay! Sad thing is, another high school in Wichita is doing it Personal life of a Broadway performer We'll totally beat them though Personal life of a Broadway performer I just think it's super cool that I'm doing a show where I have actually talked with an original Broadway cast member! This might be kind of a dumb question, but do you have any advice? We're starting rehearsals in August, with a performance in mid-November. We're already designing sets and what not. We are so psyched to be doing this!

Also, do you know Matthew Shepard? Not the guy who was killed because of his sexuality, but the guy who was in Beauty and the Beast for years. I think he ended in 2004? He's going to be in a show this summer for Music Theatre of Wichita. I'm an apprentice there this summer, so I was just looking up cast members for fun and thought maybe you performed with him during your B&TB run.

This thread still freaks me out after all these many months. Celebrities are people too!

If you hate it so much, then don't read it? Hey, there's a solution! Who'd a thunk :]

You know, YOU guys may already know about the life of an actor. I DIDN'T, hence why I was asking. Did you know that sometimes, people may actually be interested in a profession and decide to ask someone in that profession what it's like?

How about you guys grow up? I asked a logical question about something that I'm interested in, and I got my answer. If you don't like it, then you don't have to read it.

If you don't like it, then you don't have to read it.

I hate this argument. How is someone supposed to know they don't like something until they read it?

Such as: I hate your faux-earnest, condescending tone, and I decided that after reading your posts.

^If he saw things in this thread that he didn't like, he could have stopped reading. Sounds like he didn't.

I don't have to defend myself and my position anymore. I asked a question regarding things that I wanted to know, and just because you guys know it already doesn't mean that it's okay to get all snappy about it.

Getting up at 6 a.m., going to school, doing chores, doing homework, relaxing, then going to bed is what my day is like. Actors, it's different, and that's what I was wanting to know.
