I really liked him. It was werid, though, to see him as Grantair - knowing he was Enjolras (and good IMO)...

I can't remember the Grantaire I liked - I think Chip...

I am sorry to go back to this, but what I posted here was not a "public flogging," as Zelda so ridiculously states.

I posted this,

I thought Sweeney was being tongue in cheek and I responded with a flip remark, that I intended as humourous and good natured advice. It would have been wrong to send a PM since the problem is that it was a public post.

I did not discuss how I personally feel about the subject of unauthorized recorded material.

I read this now, I have been out.

By the last statement I meant, I have not said anything personal about Bootlegs, I think that was where you misunderstood me.

ETA: I really don't care anymore, but now the thread will make no sense if I delete my comments.

I leave them as I would rather people be able to tell what is happening even though I will seem a little crazy.

I want to reiterate, my posts were not directed at Sweeneyfan.

I saw it tonight. I can't say I've ever been so bored in a Broadway theater, and it's really not that hard to entertain me. I thought the cast was fine, and they will all go on to better things hopefully. I was almost completely tuned out by the end of the show...

Perhaps if I had seen it before I read all about it, I guess it adhered pretty closely to my imagination, and I'd heard the demo disk. All the songs in it are variations on the same song, so... I just wasn't seeing anything new :P

But all in all, I wouldn't even download this show off KaZaa. It's just not a good time. It left me nearly dead inside.


PS I just reread that I realize it sounds really antagonistic... I was just using the space to vent my feelings about the show. Not trying to stir up controversy about its merits, although feel free if you want.

I learned from experience that even for worthy causes that have a chance petitions rarely succeed. I once worked on a project where we got over 8000 signatures & once politics got into it we were doomed even if we had 80,000.

As much as I would like a cast album, it probaly will not happen. It is hard enough to get one done if the show is a hit. A flop,especially of this magnatude, has no shot unless someone with money to burn comes on the scene
