Dear LORD they did a terrible job photoshopping Sierra into that picture of Ramin.
Is her head always that narrow and does she always hover above the ground never casting a shadow like that? LOL!!!
Edit: I will admit, I am intrigued based on what the author of the article says about the score. I'm keeping an open mind until I've heard the cast recording (or concept album) and have seen the show myself.

"He added pointedy: 'He's not phoning this in - it's all new stuff.' "
...implying that Sir used to phone in recycled stuff?

I guess we should not expect a set like Phantom 1 or wicked with anything around the proscenium since that sort of thing is not allowed at the royal alex.

They said that it would "most likely" take the Neil Simon. Not that it will take it for sure.
I thought Dirty Dancing was going to go in there this fall. That show would make more sense to be in there since they are on a "Pre Broadway Tour" and the Neil Simon will be open in the fall.

I just have trouble seeing the Neil Simon staying open for that long. Espically with a musical that is looking for a Broadway home.
I also doubt that Dirty Dancing would go on a major pre Broadway tour without making plans for a home on Broadway beforehand.

Posted: 3/27/09 at 9:47amIf I am reading that correctly, it seems like he wants Boggess and Karimloo to open the London production, but then it sounds like a separate cast will open Toronto and that it will be the Toronto cast, not Boggess and Karimloo, who will arrive on Broadway. Does that seem correct?

They're doing 2 productions simultaneously - London and preBroadway/Broadway.
Boggess and Karimloo were always mentioned for the London production.

Nothing is confirmed re a broadway house.
Webber WANTS the Neil Simon; he announced when Evita was just about to open it will open at The Neil Simon but of course it never did. The owners of the theatre will not ink in a show for next year at this stage unless Webber foolishly pays a very large holding sum. Dirty Dancing has expressed interest in the theatre by all accounts so if thats available sooner they will simply opt for that.
If Webber plans to bring it in next year there will be many houses available im sure.

It is by no means a sure thing that Dirty Dancing is going to arrive on Broadway at all.

That is truly an awful photoshopping job in the picture.
So would Sierra and Ramin make the official cast recording? Or are there going to be 4? (Oy)

Does it even when it's coming to Broadway?
The Phantom Of The Opera sequel, Love Never Dies, will open in the West End first, rather than on Broadway, the show's composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has decided. The idea is to open Love Never Dies in London, Toronto, New York and Shangai in quick succession. It's a mammoth undertaking that, combined, will cost many millions. Tickets for the Adelphi show are expected to go on sale in late May or early June.
From what I'm getting it seems it's just opening in London in the fall being that is says "open in London first"... by the time it get's to Broadway 'Dirty Dancing' could have come and gone.

Aiming for Broadway in April 2010 (for Tony consideration) after the Toronto tryout.
Dirty Dancing will last a long time when it gets to New York.
