The show was good last night. Not my favorite, but it definitely had it's moments. Sutton was hilarious and I think I'll be saying "You have to lubricate the gift" for the rest of my life. And I've said it before but I'll say it again - Jason Kravitz is an improvisational GENIUS!
Oh, and Howard McGillan's "The Music of My Ass" needs to be recorded. :)

That was hilarious! Karen translated "Hair", "Tomorrow" (Pictured) and "The Jet Song" into Spanish.

The whole idea for Karen's skit was that because of the fact that they translated parts of West Side Story to Spanish to make it more ethnic, they felt that it would work with other shows as well. So they gave Karen verses of songs from other shows translated into Spanish.
Also, maybe it is because I was sitting on the stage, but there was something that didn't sound quite right about Karen's voice that night.
And, I must say, I have been to two of these shows. The first one I was at the mad libs was done by Ashley Brown and the song was Spoonful Of Sugar, which, is one that I never managed to hear the same way again after hearing it at Don't Quit Your NIght Job. The irony in last night's mad libs is that I had gotten out of Phantom before going to Don't Quit.

It was definitely a solid show, and much more organized than last month. There are a few videos online already. As funny as the skits are to see online, it is much funnier live, so try to come see it in person!
I think the next show will be in October.

Ok just watched Karen's segment, that was pretty hilarious. Even that snarky "nightly?" "sometimes" from the house that accompanied her "she appears in WSS nightly" intro was a little funny.
