Posted: 9/16/09 at 10:52amI think this show will be terrific. I've heard the music and know that the creative team have worked really hard to produce this show. I'm not a fan of the set though...it looks exactly like the Spring Awakening set with television screens added. But, regardless...I can't wait to see this.

I don't see how it looks anything like SA, or RENT but I am extremely confident that it will transfer. Good luck to all involved!

Posted: 9/17/09 at 9:48amIt looks NOTHING like the set for SA. RENT, on the other hand, I can see. But it is still very different. And the music, IMO, is better. So... different shows.

Looks like there are two reviews from the San Jose Mercury Post so far, one good, one bad. That previous link wasn't working for me, so I'm going to post both here:

I saw it today, and it would be nearly impossible to not draw some comparisons to RENT and Spring Awakening. To me it felt like if those two shows got incredibly high and decided to do a 90 minute music video.
I was entertained, but I think it needs a book, and it needs more focus and more specific characters, as they are more like archetypes right now.
But, Tony Vincent is awesome, so that's always a plus.

Does anyone else think "Your Eyes"?
When I saw the show, yes. (I hadn't seen this picture until now... stayed away from the thread.)
