She looks like a cross between Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur on the first season of Golden Girls.
Edited.

For those complaining about the sets for the current revival... perhaps a look at the set design for the original 1972 production might change your mind? Here's the original set on stage at the Royale/Jacobs.

Hearing lots of comments about how much we hate the set design, and yet not one person has offered up an alternative.
What do you think the set should look like? Not trying to be snarky--I'm genuinely curious.
Kathleen must favor a darker lighting design because I thought Pajama Game looked pretty dark as well. I guess it does give it a more "realistic" feel, if that's what they're going for.
As for the complaints that it's all "too dark," the '94 revival was the exact opposite and that got criticized as well.
Frankly, I don't think it matters what they do with this show---we'd find something to criticize no matter what.

Posted: 8/7/07 at 2:23pmPersonally I'm pretty excited to see this show! Given, the pictures make the lighting look too dark, and the sets look like a drag, but I think it will be a overall cute show. I've heard that it's fun. I see it Saturday. Yay me.
