Though this whole GREASE/reality show crap irks me to death -- I do have to admit that this does looking fetching. It's GREASE for chrissakes! Not much is really required AND this does wet my appetite to see it now.
I just want to see more Prod. Photos so I can really decide whether I would want to see this show in the future.
reality or not, you guys seem to be having a MUCH better deal than the 'new' West End GREASE!

Ah, the Actors Fund Home of Engelwood, NJ Presents GREASE.
The only appealing photo in the bunch is the one of Robyn Hurder.

Is that it with the set design?? It seems kind of blah
Not really any more "blah" than, say Hairspray. A lot of their stuff looks a lot like those Grease pictures. (Not dissing either...it's a style.)
With all due respect to Jenny Powers, between the wig and the way they have her dressed, she looks like she could be Kenickie's hot Grandma.
I like the look. I looking forword to seeing this!
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuI don't really like the sets at all.

Foster - You just detailed the exact problem with Jenny Powers' Rizzo.

Not liking Jenny's look. That wig is... weird.
Robyn looks great!
Even with that awful wig though, Jenny was the best actor in the show, in my opinion.
...and yes, the set design was awful

ruthiefan_felix sorry to disagree but the UK set etc looks a hell of a lot better than that

Its good to know i'm not alone in not liking the set design...
I'm not liking the sets or Jenny's look- she DOES look like she could be Kenickie's hot grandma.
I love how it is SO clear from these photos that Derek McLane did the sets and Martin Pakledinaz did the costumes (the same designers who worked on the Pajama Game with Kathleen). Many of the characters, especially Laura and Robyn Hurder, look like they were literally plucked up from the Pajama Game revival and dropped off at the Brooks Atkinson stage. The wigs especially look like the exact ones used in the Pajama Game, and the sets are constructed in the exact same style (though not nearly as innovative or impressive here).
Jenny's wig is really odd. I was expecting more with the set.
Seems they are following the Rizzo wig/hairdo used for the 1994 GREASE! Revival:
Rosie O'Donnell:
Brooke Shields:
Jenny Powers in the 2007 Broadway Revival:
The lighting design seems to make everything look really dark...
Brooke looks hot in that photo!

What ever happened to the 'pink' Pink Ladies' jackets?!
Those slacks on Jenny are not very flattering either.
They went on and on about how much they were spending on this production during Grease: YTOTIW, but it just has a cheap look to it. I agree that the wig is kinda out there. Also, the PINK Pink Ladies jackets are so much more appealing (to me at least) than black ones. What is up with that?
However, I bet the energetic cast will make up for anything lacking in the design department.
Ugh. Just as tacky as I remembered it.
