Travolta seems to be rather conspicuously absent from this sneak peek. Why are they being so coy about showing him?
If you notice this lot of images- are of all the young ensemble.
I am pleased actually. Previously all we have been given are travolta images... so this is a nice change of pace. Plus they are trying to get the attention of younger viewers- telling them, "this movie is for you."
Are there going to be more pictures of the Adults soon ?
I was wondering the same thing. I want more Michelle Pfeiffer! She is going to be a HOT Velma.
I don't think they are being coy about John Travlota - there have been tons of photographs of him in full costume in makeup in magazines already. These photos are of the younger people - which will probably be the major marketing angle of the movie. I expect a full pin up poster insert in TIGER BEAT!
MB.. I can see that too.
Im hoping for a Vanity Fair spread with the cast wearing 60's inspired clothing... wishful thinking.
Looks good...but I still weary of Zac as Link. That won't change until I see it though I guess. I can't wait!
looks great.
... am i the only one who had a hard time figuring out what the hell Amber was holding in the pic where shes on the phone? I think my eyes are playing tricks on me.

I love the pic of the Corny Collins Show.
<---------
I also like the pic of Link at the Sophomore Hop.
Does anyone know if they still made Travolta as ratty pre-makeover as Edna in the film and stage versions?
The thing that bugs me about Zac as Link is his hair color. It's so obviously dyed black. His own coloring doesn't go with that dark shade of hair. I'm not sure why it was so important for them to do that to his "do." They didn't do that to Matthew Morrison on Broadway... but if they had dyed his hair black, they would have had the same strange look.
I love the colors of the sets and costumes, though. They are muted, but it works as sort of a faded, retro photograph feel to the whole thing. Nice!
Mistress- Amber is holding a pink handkercheif over the phone transmitter.
I know this is just a small thing but why isnt Penny wearing glasses!! She looks too pretty and cute in the part, I hope her acting lives up to the awkward character that turns sexy. But in these pics she already is sexy...kind of....ok, i'm done
oh and i dont like Link at all, he does look like a little boy in drag

Amanda Bynes is so adorable in those pics! She can definitely do the awkward/goofball thing ("She's The Man").
Zac Efron looks like a drag king. Is it true that "It Takes Two" got cut in favor of a new, more upbeat song for Link?
IMO, Zac Efron sorta looks like a young Elvis....making me think that was perhaps the inspiration.
Although I prefer Link to look like Matt Morrison :)
The new Tracy looks so cute.
I can't wait to see this film even if they left out Harvey and Bruce.
She really looks like Marissa.
"It Takes Two" like "Mama I'm A Big Girl Now" were already recognizable titles to songs mainstream Americans knew, and they wouldn't have taken to new songs with the same sayings. I'm sure the new songs will be fantabulous (and hopefully one of them will win an Oscar!)

Where is Pfeiffer?!?
And Tink, once again we're on the same page - Mr. Marsden
Am I the only one that thinks all the kids in this movie look too young?!? They look more like freshmen to me. Or maybe I'm just too old!
Almost all the actors in the movie are about 18-22, with a few exceptions including Lil Inez.
-well I should say the young actors. :)
Some of the US sites have yet to update... but if you want Hi-Res versions of these images check out this swiss site:

Who DOESN'T want Link to look like (or be) Matthew Morrison!?!
All I'm saying is I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers....

Hee, James Marsden is Corny Collins? Awesome.
I really love what they have done with this film. They cast the film with (amazing) real teenagers, who look like teenagers. We are so used to seeing 23 years olds and 26 year olds like Kristen Bell playing teens that we forget what the real things look like. Once they went with Niki Blonski, they had to cast young. And glasses on Penny may have been too much, just as all the enormous wigs would have been too much on a 60 foot screen.
I love the color scheme, which looks like they used the color chips from the Amanna Oven factory for the pallet.
