Piazza Closing Show

I'm looking into buying tickets for the closing show, and I was wondering, in the 500's, if you're on the first aisle seat, how much do you miss? Cause I like being close in Piazza, but don't want to miss what's going on.

re: Piazza Closing Show

I think the 500's are probably the worst seats for Piazza. The show seems to play mostly to the center and the left side (the 100's). I've seen it from every angle and I wouldn't recommend getting the 500's seats. However, I don't know if there are any more seats available for the final performance. If those are the only seats left, get the immediately! I'm sitting in the orchestra in the 300's about halfway back. It should be an exciting afternoon.

Well there are row K in the 200's, should I get those?

re: Piazza Closing Show

I sat in J 506 and the seats were pretty perfect.

re: Piazza Closing Show

The 500's are probably better if you're further back. I was in the second row of the 500's and it was slightly obstructed due to furniture and such.

I've sat in the front row in the 300's, halfway back in the 300's, the front mezz in the 300's, the rear mezz in the 300's, and the rear mezz in the 100's...all were excellent.

The show is just brilliant from any angle...

re: Piazza Closing Show

Yeah, I sat center row M and loved, then row F in the 200's and REALLY loved it, so I was wondering if it was worth it to be closer.

re: Piazza Closing Show

It'll be worth it just to be at the final performance...I bought my tickets months ago. This is one of the best shows to come to Broadway in a while.

re: Piazza Closing Show

Without a trace, they also have first row, in the 100's on the first aisle. Would that be better?

re: Piazza Closing Show

Like all the way on the left side? I'm not sure. When I sat in the 100's, I was on the aisle closest to the center of the stage.

re: Piazza Closing Show

Yeah that's the one. Seat 101 I think. Would that be better than K?

re: Piazza Closing Show

I moved down there the last time I saw the show and it was fine. Anytime you are front row, in my book, its amazing.

re: Piazza Closing Show

I'm pretty sure July 2nd will be the final performance...we should be ok!

re: Piazza Closing Show

I think it is the closing show that is being taped for "Live from Lincoln Center" on pbs, so you may have tv camera obstructions too.

re: Piazza Closing Show

The Live from Lincoln Center broadcast is June 15th. The closing performance is July 2nd.

re: Piazza Closing Show

oh ok, well never mind on that. It seems odd to tape a show and air it on tv before it closes. Still I'll be happy to be abvle to watch it whenever I want.

re: Piazza Closing Show

Is this still the show's closing date, July 2nd, or did it extend again?

re: Piazza Closing Show

They did not extend again. July 2nd is the final performance.

re: Piazza Closing Show

Did I miss an article somewhere announcing their final performance? I understand that they didn't extend, and by default, that would make their closing show July 2, but do we have information that is more concrete than that? Could they not extend in the next few weeks or have they definitively said they're not extending?

re: Piazza Closing Show

The show is definitely closing July 2. They've been advertising about final performances for a while now.

re: Piazza Closing Show

I just got my ticket- there's only a handful of scattered singles left (it appears).

After seeing the show on tv, I decided that I needed to see Victoria Clark live since I saw Patti last time.
