I don't think he's a celebrity, people have actually heard of celebrities. If you don't watch that show on tv, you have no clue who that dude is.

I have a thought. Would Matthew Thomas consider returning to the role on Broadway? Then Erik Altemus could take over as the touring Pippin (in the event that the tour Pippin with vocal problems doesn't work out).
He left the role on Broadway, why would he return? Also, Erik is no longer with the show at all. The tour cast has already been established.
And when will Kyle Selig return? (Or, make his debut, I suppose.)
Kyle Selig ain't returning. He got fired.
@ Sutton Ross - The same could be said about Andrea Martin- Who returned. And if Kyle is indeed really out of the tour, then they will have to recast if Matthew doesn't stay in- Erik is a possibility.
That's true about Andrea. I can't find any articles that say he got fired or isn't returning to Pippin though, it's probably just assumptions.

I'm hoping MJT continues with the touring production after the LA run.
I personally don't, because i have seen him soo many times and look forward to seeing someone new (I have seen Matthew ,Erik and Kyle Dean). But for those who have not seen him yet- i hope he does.

I haven't seen mjt yet (or anyone for that matter) so maybe news will come out soon. Do you think it's possible that he may stay?
Anything is possible if he dose not have a commitment already with something else. Who knows what will happen- only time will tell.

I was at the talk back with Andrea Martin. They asked her to return, she said YES, because she wanted to do the role in LA so she could see her kids. In exchange, she had to do 3 weeks on Broadway.
I am now done with Pippin. This crappy stunt casting is too much.
Dear brdway411,
Seriously. We'll even comp you the ticket to Chicago.

I saw Chicago it looked tired 2 years ago.
BTW, they can stunt cast all they like, does not mean I need to spend my money there. I have comps to Pippin. Will not be using them.

There are 1,000 better people that could play this role even if they want to keep the momentum up in the hard months and stunt cast. Heck, if they wanted to stunt cast even Zac Efron would have been fine with me. At least he would probably do an ok job.

Kyle Selig has not been fired. I don't know where you heard that, but it's completely untrue.

I'm done with Pippin after the news of this cast change, too.
If MJT stays in the tour I'll see that production when it comes near my area.

Kyle Selig tweeted someone back today that asked if he was going to return to the production and he said yes.

He also still lists Pippin in his Twitter bio. I'm sure he would have taken it down if he was fired and would be asked to as well.
For those of you at the show last night or seeing this weekend how is Carly?
I'm curious as well if anyone happens to see Carly as the LP.
I'm seeing her tomorrow! I will be sure to report back.
