I wonder why they haven't announced a new Berthe yet with less than a week before they'd be starting. It has to be Tovah or Priscilla, right?

Priscilla was probably contracted through the end of the year, but when they could get Andrea for a few weeks they bumped her, probably with pay. This is what they did to Jackie Hoffman during Xanadu. When Whoopi was brought in, I'm almost positive Jackie was still at least partially payed for taking six weeks off.

DeBose is scheduled for four performances this week(9/16-9/1

before Carly Hughes starts on Friday.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Jackie Hoffman took the time off to do promo work for her CD. She'd already had her hysterectomy. She talks about it on the CD she took time off of XANADU to promote.

This is one of the most bizarre instances of stunt casting I've seen (which is saying something). Could this guy be any more blatantly wrong for the role?

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Josh is an incredible vocalist and musician. But he is not an actor or even "entertainer." This is misguided.
