I assume they'll announce the casting as soon as they cast the show.

Understood, but they said in their press release,in October, that casting was "currently underway". How long can it take?

I'm just super anxious that's all. With all the people on this board, someone's got to know something.

If someone posts casting, without a link, nobody is going to believe them anyways. Most people on here tend to wait to announce things until the press releases come out, to avoid rumor overload and angry posts.

Honestly...That's really never stopped anyone before. I, for one, like speculation. re: Pirate Queen

There is a rumour that Colm Wilkinson is set to play the male lead, aye?

Is this show going to work with Boublil and Schonberg writing a score with a blend of "pop, rock, musical theatre, and Irish music"? I have faith, but I'm interested to hear how it turns out. I can't believe we're looking at Spring 2007.

It opens in Chicago in less than a year. October 3, 2006, and closes Chitown around Thanksgiving. How long usually until a show reopens on Broadway after previews?

Sounds interesting!

"Group tickets went on sale Thursday. Individual tickets will be available in February. Casting for the show is under way, and producers will announce stars by the end of the year."

That article is from Nov 4th so I guess we'll know soon.

This show gives me a reason to be glad that I go to school near Chicago.

Seeing aegeusrocks' avatar in the "but no one in L.A. knows sh*t about theatre" thread just now made me look up this thread again.

End of the year has come and gone... *shrug* Oh well. Guess you can't believe everything you read.

Anyone know any more about this? Are there any clips of any of the songs? I'm dying to hear some of the music, I bet it is gorgeous!

CurtainPullDowner: I've read rumors about who the female lead will be. I'll be very happy if these rumors are true. What have you heard?

What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!
