Rehearsals for PQ's October 3 opening,in Chicago, start this week. The Cadillac Theatre will be busing with activity. 27 trucks containing sets, scenery, costumes etc...have already been sent to Chicago. Wicked only had 17 trucks worth of stuff. Now does that tell you something of the PQ's grandieur! How many of you will be seeing this production during Previews? I sure am going to try and be one of the chosen in the Pirate Queen audience. I've fallen in love with this cast!!!

That's a lot of trucks!!!
Sounds AMAZING. Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to all the CASTCOMS and reviews.
And I don't think fachedaluna was commenting on how GOOD the show will be by the amount of trucks, but merely pointing out how grand (large) this production is.... but, it WILL be good too. No, not good, GREAT

I'm a little worried about this show. Is it all Irish themed music? How is this going to work? Just looking for a little insight.
Thanks!

"...one of the chosen in the Pirate Queen audience..."?
Not sure what that means... do they pull people on stage for audience participation?

About eight of us are going on Oct 18... VERY excited!
Really hope it's good... Riverdance/Lord of the Dance stuff gives me hives, but I still have high hopes for this one. (I'm an unabashed Saigon/Les Mis fan.)

I hope/plan to see it at least a couple of times as it's only 30 odd minutes from where I live!!!!!!
Besides, I have a date with one of the cast members! Well, sort of. Wonder if he remembers the invite??!!!
When WIW closed on broadway, I sent Daniel Torres an e-mail to his website asking of his plans. He responded on his website saying he was going to be in PQ, and he hoped to see me in Chicago!!!!!!! He said I should drop by the stage door to say hello. LOL!
I'm sure he'll never remember!!!!!
