This probably isn't news for many of you guys, but I thought I'd post it just in case.
I'm only seeing the castcom. Link to the album?

I had the same problem. You can either type in "Boublil" or type "PIRATE QUEEN" in all caps. Both should work.
Taz,
Thanks- I just downloaded mine on iTunes for $9.99
(yup-you just have to type Pirate Queen...)

Yay! I'll get it when I get home! So happy!
I'm really psyched to hear it. I know the show didn't get a lot of love, but I admire Boubiil and Schonberg's scores.
I enjoyed it a lot. Yes, some of the orchestrations sound a bit familiar, but I still love the music!
thanks for the link!
im going to get it at barnes and noble tomorrow, but im at least going to listen to song clips on itunes :)
Can't wait to pick it up at Barnes and Noble this afternoon (called last night for them to hold a copy) and break it in on the way to the beach! Can't say it was one of the best evenings of theatre I have attended, but I did love a lot of the music.
BTW- Worth mentioning- The Pirate Queen on iTunes has 3 bonus songs that was not on the OBCR -CD . (It only has 25 songs per Amazon.com)
Bonus Songs:
1. The Storm
2. My Queen
3. Son of the Irish Seas

The bonus tracks are all instrumental tracks though...
Regarding the bonus tracks:
"The Storm" sounds like it was done with the rest of the album at Legacy Recording. In general this is an amazingly well recorded and produced CD. Perhaps they couldn't fit this one into the 74 minute time limit of a single disc.
Just from listening to the on-line i-tunes segment, "My Queen" must be some old sequenced demo. It's horrendous. I don't remember "My Queen" from even the earliest Chicago previews, so this probably dates back to the Dublin pre-production period. "Son of the Irish Seas" also sounds sequenced, but I'm happy to see it included. I hope it means this song won't be forgotton if future Pirate Queen productions are attempted. I was hoping they might have come up with a live recording of this song from the Chicago run. I agree with Ben that "Son of the Irish Seas" is far stronger than "Pirate Queen".
yup- but I think "The Storm" was on the musical.
The two were definitely a demo- I already deleted it on my iTunes. For those who does not have it. Youre not missing anything at all..

Wrong thread, but thank you Tech. :P
Are these bonus tracks iTunes exclusive?
It's great to have "The Storm" to add to the rest of the tracks, but I'd love to know how those other two sequenced demos made it to market. The rest of the material has been so carefully recorded and mixed, and then they throw on two tracks that sound like a Casio-tone portable keyboard demo. Check out that realistic, expressive simulated grand piano on "My Queen".
I wonder if Apple pressured the show to provide some "exclusive" extras?
IDK I'm about to go scope out Best Buy and Barnes & Noble.
Apple is probably loving the exclusives they're getting with the Hairspray soundtrack. I'm seriously buying it there and a physical copy.
Hey Popular
Is it just me ? but my Pirate Queen Playbill does not have the list of songs?? that's odd huh?? bec. I was comparing it to my iTunes list ...

ibdb has the song list...

it's not in the canada Itunes store... this sucks!
Uh...the bonus tracks aren't on my CD. K I'M MAD.
It's also a shame they didn't have a bonus track of "The Woman That I Am"
Jaystarr ~ I'm trying to locate my playbill from April 8 (Easter Sunday, right?), but I'm pretty sure it was in there. Also, it opened before that, on April 5. So it wasn't in previews on the 8th. I'll let you know if/when I find mine.
My playbill has the song list. Course, I saw it almost two months after it had opened.
