Hee... I just posted about it in the Raul thread.

How about sharing what the actual joke was
"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".

A patient was hospitalized for what appeared to be mercury poisoning and his excuse was "I've been eating a lot of sushi lately."

The doctor's response? "And you've been getting lukewarm reviews in Speed-The-Plow on Broadway?" When the others looked perplexed, the doc tells them to Google it.

Ouch! she said smiling.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

re: Piven joke on 'House'

I feel Jeremy Piven has become the Monica Lewinski of theater nerds.

re: Piven joke on 'House'

So who among the 'House' writers is the theater buff?

ETA: and the guy looked a little like Piven, but personality-wise he was a total asshole. :)

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

The news was broken on TMZ and E!; it's not just theatre fans that know about it.

re: Piven joke on 'House'

I like the random theatre references in House. Other favourites include House telling Joel Grey to "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain", and Wilson responding favourably to an interviewee with a cry of "that's our Hitler!". re: Piven joke on 'House'
