I'm trying to choose a play for my local high school, and there are about 15 kids in the drama department, the majority of them being female. We're looking for a play next year that is not a musical, and can accommodate a mainly female cast, while still having a few male actors.
Any suggestions?

The female ODD COUPLE
THE WOMEN
Steel Magnolias is all female. Auntie Mame has more females than males.
The Heidi Chronicles is largely female with a smattering of males who could be double-cast.
Five Women Wearing The Same Dress, 5 females, 1 male

Is there a stage version of "The Trouble With Angels"?
Women Behind Bars
12 Angry Men (People)
I've seen a production of 12 Angry Men entitled "12 Angry Jurors", where men and woman were used
I would definitely recommend doing that.

Same here. Only the one I saw was called "12 Angry People". I wonder which is the officially licensed title?

I don't think so, but there should be. It does seem like a scathingly brilliant idea.
Neither of those alternate titles has the same ring as "12 Angry Men." Shame.

Freshman year of high school, we did a one act cutting of "Trojan Women"
I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but "A, My Name is Alice" is a wonderful show.
