Please don't yell at me#1

My high school marching band has decided on Jekyll and Hyde for next years field show. I was hoping to learn more about the show. I am not sure if I should be embarrassed or not but… I have never seen the show. I know the basic story line. But, what is the story about?

I would also suggest listening to the 1994 concept cd of the show. It is more complete than the Broadway recording.

Yes, it is. But try to ignore Hasselhoff.

What an unfortunate choice.

A marching band is doing J&H?

I agree about the concept recording (Anthony Warlow) over any other recording, but brace yourself. It's pretty terrible.

It's sad that people have to preface their posts with "don't yell at me." Are we so rude here? So bitchy?

SaraBeth,
Don't worry about the board so much.

I'd be far more worried that your band director chose this mediocre material. It reflects poorly on him/her.

Maybe it has been tarted up with lots and lots of percussion and brass.

But have a good time and "sing out Louise" even though you're playing.

can't get to mad at her, can we. She didn't make the choice.

SorryGrateful, I disagree with you on J&H, and therefore your opinion isn't valid.

"Murder, Murder" needs at least eight Tubas and a row of shoulder mounted roto-tom players to really make musical sense anyway.

I love J&H. Only the concept recording though (god bless Anthony Warlow). I get why they took out 'Girls Of The Night', and I suppose I can understand them removing 'Bring On The Men', but I love and miss 'I Need To Know'. Bahhh.
