I know I asked for acting help like yesterday..well here comes part 2..sorta
I was with my vocal coach today and I was practicing singing from the diaphram, like you're supposed to. well, in order to help me do it all the time instead of only with high notes, she was trying to get my to hum..without using my throat. I've been practicing insanley.....any pointers?
Don't force it. Keep your lips loosely together (not tight or pursed) and let the air (remember your diaphram) produce your sound - not your throat. If you do it right, you will feel a buzzing in your sinus area.
buzzing in my sinus area... great I'll keep that in mind thanks!
Yeah, it should be a buzzing. Usually, when you're using your head voice, you'll feel your noise, temples, or cheeks vibrating. And put the sound forward, your lips should tingle if you're doing this.
I've done this before. The sound/sensation when you go higher is kinda like the strings of a violin. Don't clench your jaw otherwise it will sound strained.
