i think some people are confused - this is for title songs (ie a song in the show that is the same as the title of the show) not opening numbers. or just reeling off favourite shows.

i've always hated the phaaaaaaaaaaaantumoftheopehra is theeeeeere. but i'm not a fan of the show full stop
i always felt like Hairspray's title song was a nice bit of kitschy pastiche, certainly not a standout song but a good bit of deliberately bad theme tune writing. i'm looking forward to hearing the new one too.
