The title song to Hairspray the movie was much better than the title song in the musical.
I thought they should have found a way to incorporate that one.

COMPANY
KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN
CABARET
RAGTIME
RAGS
WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND
A rather obscure one is Bob Merrill's quite beautiful title song to the ill fated musical "Breakfast At Tiffany's".

Posted: 3/1/07 at 7:08pmThe most beautiful, without a doubt, is "the Light in the Piazza". Probably the most unforgettable, however, is "The Phantom of the Opera" Not necessarily the best, but it's the most catchy in my opinion. The title song from Rent is just annoying, in my opinion.

Mamma Mia! isn't too horrible. Beauty and the Beast is a classic, of course. Little Shop of Horrors is fab as well.
The Color Purple and Spelling Bee are downers, though.
