I agree about the theme from the hairspray movie. I love that song!
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Applause is my favourite, I love that song!
Mame, Sweet Charity, I also love Company.
Rent is awesome, as is Phantom of the Opera. I also really, really like Legally Blonde.
The best would have to be Bare, hands down. Followed by Rent, and Little Shop of Horrors. Oh! And Feeling Electric.

I can't believe two people have listed "Bare" as their favorites... that was actually the first that came to my mind for worst. And "Hairspray" was second.
My favorite is "The Light in the Piazza."

Not sure if it's the #1 best, but one of my favorites that it seems no one mentioned yet is Hair.

I agree with a lot of the above suggestions. While it's not massively popular, I've always thought "The Scarlet Pimpernel" was a cute little tune.

There are a few I like, but someone mentioned Dear World's as being the worst, and though it is out of place in that quaint little show, it is hardly a bad song.
But to name some favorites- Cabaret, The Light in the Piazza, Sunday in the Park with George, Company, The Happy Time, gosh there are a lot. That's all I can think of for now.
