I thought they would wait until they open in Boston, but it's moving straight to Broadway in December!

Yeah, wouldn't they want to see the production's buzz/reviews first? Interesting.

Evita!

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

The Best Actress in a Musical race will certainly be interesting, should everything pan out.

I really think the best actress category is really strong-
Elena Roger, Bernadette Peters, Laura Osnes, Jan Maxwell could be here, Audra McDonald, possibly someone from Godspell.

Looks like it could be a tight race if these shows/productions are well-received.

Wouldn't this be classified as a new musical, as opposed to a revival?

Well not on Broadway, but "Merrily We Roll Along" also.

Doubt it. It's still going to be the same score. Just a new sound.

I guess Elf won't be taking the Richard Rodgers. Any thoughts were Elf could play this winter??

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Elf could take the Palace, Lunt-Fontanne or Neil Simon if one of their tenants doesn't make it past the summer. Perhaps the Nederlander or Broadhurst, though those may be too small for them to make much money with such a short run.
