The Rubicon Theater Company is having a first listen to the new Andrew Lippa musical "Poseidon." I know some people are Lippa fans on here, so thought I'd give a shout out. 

"The story follows the modern cast of Poseidon on Broadway as they navigate the treacherous waters of life, love and art. In this play-within-a-play, everything turns upside down…except, of course, the damn boat."

Tony Award-Winner Faith Prince (Guys and Dolls), Rachel York (City of Angels/Rubicon’s The Best is Yet to Come Off Broadway), Emmy winner Bruce Weitz (“Hill Street Blues,” Rubicon’s Anne Frank and Art), Richard Fleeshman (Ghost), Meg Donnelly (Disney’s “Zombies&rdquo, James Barbour (Phantom of the Opera) and others. The faux creative team includes Austin Scott (Hamilton), Solea Pfeiffer (Evita), Etai Benson (The Band’s Visit) and Brad Oscar (Something Rotten).

What is a "faux" creative team?

But how does Scott Rudin fit into this?
Is this “we see you white American theatre” approved? Are there demands?

The faux creative team, meaning that in the play within a play they are playing the creatives as opposed to playing cast members.

There's another Poseidon musical cast album I've listened to and enjoyed. I wonder how this will compare.
