Amen, Jonwo. The London marquees are gorgeous! We need some serious facade restoration on Broadway!

The Nederlander has looked like that since 1996. Those things did go unnoticed to me the first number of times I was at or walked past the Nederlander, though. The thing is, I would usually go down 41st specifically to check out the goings-on at the theatre, so I never thought to walk on the other side of the street (there's really no reason to, since there are no theatres on that side other than the New Amsterdam's giant butt). It's also hard to take it all in even from the corner of 41st and 7th. It was a revelation the first time I walked by on the north side of the street--I had never noticed how much went into the facade.
