Thanks for sharing that review. I am so glad that Stefanie Powers is getting such a positive reaction for her performance in Sunset Boulevard. I've been a big fan of hers for years and it's nice to see that she's still "alive and kicking".

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately, there is an error in it. The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Illinois, was the first to produce a fully staged production of SUNSET BOULEVARD in 2004. It was a well-received and well-attended production, and I saw it twice. Because it is a theatre-in-the-round, projections were shown on long, narrow screens that hung from the lighting grid to the floor of the stage. It was a stunning way to show the various locations in the musical, and I was amazed by the innovation in this production. FYI: Paula Scrofano was a brilliant Norma Desmond, and I urge everyone to click on the link in this message to see a brief clip of her!

I'm not clear about all of this; the Ogunquit Playhouse is advertising this as the first professional production in more than 10 years...?

Sir Andrew, if you are reading this! The Marquis theatre is available!

Do you think a full-scale revival could make it on Broadway? The original sets were great, but highly mechanized and thus subject to failure (the performance I first had tickets for was cancelled because the stages failed to move.)

I think this is Sir Andrew's most accomplished show, but some of the songs for the "kids" are a bit weak.
