Yes, Minchin is a comedian, but he isn't only a comedian...he writes more than just comedic stuff.
I dig it! It's a beautiful tune and clearly comes at the end of the show where Phil Conners has his revelation so it really doesn't have to be "funny." I suspect (or at least hope) the humor exists prior to this musical moment. I look forward to hearing more.

I didn't care for it at first, but once the drums joined in, it grew on me. I hope this show is good. I'm going to try my best not to compare it to Matilda. Which will sadly be quite difficult.
