Or do you think its meant to say a Nederlander theatre? Can't see it at this theatre at all
A Nederlader owned theatre sounds more likely.

THE Nederlander is much too small. I heard they were looking at the Mariott Marquis.

I'd think that was too small too... I think The Palace would be ideal or Neil Simon, if Love Never Dies would just give up already!
I know it's not a Nederlander theatre, but The Broadway would be ideal. Though Promises is doing great and if Hayes stays, it can likely survive Chenoweth's leaving in September.
The Marquis would be ideal for this show. The Nederlander is way too small and doesn't have enough wing space for a bus.

No real front of house at The Marquis... which is a shame as The Palace in London has a great FOH for Priscilla... saying that, no Broadway houses could do it really!
I heard the Marquis too, and that sounds more likely.
What do you mean by front of house? All Broadway theatres can take out a few rows of seats in the front if they want to.
I think AnythingGoes means a marquee.
Wait... if that's the case, then the Marquis has a FANTASTIC spot for the giant shoe. Right out in Times Square for everyone to see.

The Marquis just got a new marquee facing the Lunt-Fontanne.
I love that photo. Yah. So there are now two places at the Marquis that could feature the shoe.
They had just put up the giant shoe when I was in London for the first time. It was a great point of reference!
I heard they were looking at the Richard Rodgers, but obviously that would depend on In The Heights vacating.
I'd love to see it take the Marquis for two reasons: (1)there shouldn't be any problems with sightlines as there have been in London (2) location, location, location - right in the heart of Times Square. I imagine there would be Gumbies o/s the theatre startling tourists for many months.
The only downside is the absence of a decent marquee - the Palace in London is one of my all-time favourites. The giant sparkly shoe is genius.
EDIT: I see the Richard Rodgers rumour has been addressed in another thread. It concerns me that the show could be shoe-horned into a venue which will cramp its style. Anyone got any inside scoop?
