Yes. I heard today that Priscilla has been renewed for another year. Congrats to the wonderful cast.
Renewed? So......we can look forward to another 22 episodes?
I heard that they were canceling it but new episodes would perform on YouTube.
That makes sense. I hope another network picks up FOLLIES and moves it to a new station.
OMG, me too! I also hope FOLLIES goes On Demand. I think only MEMPHIS is On Demand? Stupid TWC...
Hmmmm, dunno about that. I was watching HOW TO SUCCEED last night.
Aren't contracts renewed?
The point is ... All you snarky Priscilla haters can suck it :)
Contracts are renewed all the time.
Actors' contracts do not keep a show from closing.
What happens if they break their contract and there is an open slot? Does that mean we get another Wicked rerun?
<< Suck what exactly? >>>
A purple glitter paintbrush that colors my world :)
If I had to sit through that mess of a show again, I'd suck on a bottle of poison to put me out of my misery.

are posters getting dumber? I cannot believe this OP thinks that because the leads got asked to sign for another year that that means the show will be open..
I am flabbergasted by the ignorance..seriously..this..wow.
That makes sense. I hope another network picks up FOLLIES and moves it to a new station.
New World Stages is picking it up for another season.
Well that sucks. Going from a cable station straight to public television.

So when actors have a year long contract is the show now guaranteed a year long run? The cast of Godspell will be elated to hear this.
"I heard...?" I don't know about you, but I'd rather rely on something a bit more official than that. Still, as others have mentioned...it depends on improved box office for the show to continue. Oh well. from RC in Austin, Texas
1. It's unlikely that ALL of them have extended their contracts.
2. It's highly unlikely that they have all extended for another YEAR.
3. It's highly unlikely this will run another year.
This has nothing to do with love or hate of the show -- but of simple financial understanding.
But dramamama, I'm sure the offers are just pouring in for that star of the stage, Nick Adams.
(snark)
(To be honest, I actually found him to be better in the show than Will Swenson, who looked completely uncomfortable the entire performance.)
Interesting. While I was watching the hot males in Priscilla, the phrase "Suck It' came to my mind quite frequently too.

The cast of Xanadu had just signed contracts through the end of the year and the next week, the closing was posted.

So go watch 30 Rock.
What's sad is an actor signing on to do a second year of that awful show... it says a great deal about the dearth of available employment.
