I do not think it could be clearer that I have never watched an episode since I couldn't get through the pilot.
"Blaine workout more than Finn, Puck, or Ryder..."
These are actual names of characters on this program or are we suddenly talking about gay porn VHS stars of the '80s?
There was way too much purring at the beginning of notes in that number. I also didn't understand why the young Frida Kahlo was shown running in a tutu up the steep and very narrow stairway?
#51Question About GLEE's
Posted: 4/27/13 at 4:32pmI haven't watched this show in decades. Should I watch it for this?

#52Question About GLEE's
Posted: 4/27/13 at 4:32pmI have never understood hate watching. Im not saying glee is perfect because it's not, but many on here have been bashing this show for years and its really funny cause they obviously can't stop watching it.

Ha, so very true.
"I also didn't understand why the young Frida Kahlo was shown running in a tutu up the steep and very narrow stairway?"
Meh that was the literal way they saw it, I guess? She came back at the end of the episode to interrupt Santana's adult ballet class that the song convinced her to take.
As for being hypocritical--while I've never downloaded a Glee song, I don't pretend not to watch the show--so I'm not sure what's so hypocritical. *Shrug* I have an odd compulsion when it comes to Murphy's shows (although I actually genuinely enjoy the gonzo nature of American Horror Story.)

Alright if you say so. Im just saying, its really hypocritical to bash a show for a year and still be posting threads about it. My friends use to to love glee but they say the 4th season sucks, so they just stopped watching it. Simple as that. Why would anyone hate watch a show? That makes no sense to me. I lost interest in game of thrones so i just stopped watching it instead of posting about how much it sucks.

That's too bad, because it's amazing this year
I don't even know if I hate-watch Glee, the way I did hate watch Murphy's New Normal. I find it easy and quick enough to watch when doing work--and while it makes me shake my head most of the time, it's not something I have to invest too much interest in.

Honestly, I don't think hate-watching a show is that much different from seeking out to watch something camp you've heard is "so bad it's good." I think it may stroke the same brain stuff. Maybe there are some lofty arguments to be made about not seeking out thinks that affect you negatively for negative reenforcement or whatever, but sometimes it's just fun. And several things I hated watched (like the first season of AHS) actually gave me non hate-related payoff in the end. But truly, I don't hate watch much of anything anymore. Generally at this point, I just get out, instead of sticking it out to see how slack-jawed something can make me. That's why I bowed out of the second season of AHS, because even hate-watching it wasn't fun for me. I did hate-watch all of the first season of The New Normal, but I vowed not to watch it if it returns next season.
ETA: Losing interest in something doesn't generally lead to hate-watching anyway. If you're just bored, then there's no fun it. That's why I stopped watching Girls. At first it stoked my hate-watch synapses, but a few episodes in it just bored me to tears so I moved on.

#73Question About GLEE's
Posted: 4/27/13 at 5:15pmAnd how come Amber Riley and the old gang are still regulars, and the new gang are guest stars? NeNe has higher billing. Ryan Murphy's such a bastard.
