#79Question About GLEE's
Posted: 4/27/13 at 11:21pmAs to the person who questioned why someone would think they wre marrying below them if they married Gloria. In the Latin american community money and skin color play a very big role so if Glorias character came from a lower class background than the father and was darker then people would think the father had 'married beneath him.'

Why would anyone hate watch a show? That makes no sense to me.
I'm sure it's hard to imagine with this crowd, but some of us have boyfriends, partners, husbands, etc.
GLEE comes on whether we like it or not. The only relief is mocking it here.

I just caught up on this today so I'm going to stir the sh!t some more.
I would actually love to know how we're being hypocritical here, broadway guy. I hate-watch Glee as I have done for many seasons now and I talk about it in whatever manner I see fit. Where is the hypocrisy in that?
Also "At the Ballet" made absolutely no sense in the context of the show and it went out for about 15 hours.
The molestation add-on could not have been more poorly done. I don't think all the guys needed to be high-fiving Ryder because it made them all look pretty deplorable. And Kitty's change of heart because they can bond over BEING MOLESTED is pretty grotesque.

As to the person who questioned why someone would think they wre marrying below them if they married Gloria..
For what it's worth, I always thought the singer was describing a possessive, controlling personality. Whether or not he was actually from a higher social class is beside the point.

>> "It was a very moving and beautiful moment."
all that jazz, sometimes you are just so adorably naive that I want to hug you and cover the top of your head with sweet, little kisses.
I know that's incredibly and unacceptably condescending, but I can't help myself.

What can I say, I'm adorable...
Clyde,
"I don't think all the guys needed to be high-fiving Ryder because it made them all look pretty deplorable"
I think that was kind of the point, the double standard is wrong.
