Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST END will be a diva favorite, I'm sure.

"She decided to use Heelys after a group of kids whizzed by her in an airport last year."

And they say directing is hard...

I'm sure it will be great. Plexiglass and all!

Well, whatever. Norm Lewis is there, I'm there...

I'll make you obey,
Till you do as I say.
I don't care, come what may,
But I'll keep you away
From that cruel, harsh, cold, vile
World Above

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

And Sherie is there so I am for sure there...

All good things must end;
Flowers fade
Balloons deflate
And butterflies disintergrate.
And all good things must end;
Puppies die
And teeth decay
And lollypops are licked away

FutureAlladin, I am glad you are certain,
but if you knew the trepidation and un"certain"ty going on you might be less "certain"

Pretending I can understand your post...

Aren't you the one flipping out that people are bashing PIRATE QUEEN. Not to say this is a pot/kettle situation, but it is...

?????

I have to say I approach this with equal parts joy and trepidation, depending on the day. It could be a triumph, or a trainwreck.
I have several names, one is Julian2. I am also The Opps Girl. But cross me, and I become Bitch Dooku!

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

I'm curious as to whether or not I could trouble anyone with the sampler album ... I'm LONGING to haer these new additions to the score, and yeah, seeing as I don't have it for myself, I would be GREATLY appreciative of it!

Thanking you kindly,

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

blaxx-

i'm not sure if you're simply pointing out the misspelling but in case you aren't, they are referring to alan menken--he who composed countless songs for Disney films and the broadway shows.

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

I love on the demo when Ursula says "Well i'll just out a little salt on your tail and gobble you up... OR YOUR DADDY!". Gets me every time.

Anyhow, yes, Sherie is gonna totally rock "All Good Things Must End", although i'm really hoping they drop it for something much more intense. For that final scene, I hope they go for a more dark and strong number, rather than that comedic light one. I mean, i know the words are powerful and all, but its just too bouncy.

I'm looking more forward to her "Poor Unfortunate Souls (Reprise)" that "AGTME"! Mostly though, "Sweet Child"... gives me the chills.

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

The way I undersand it is that they will be wearing heelys, their legs will be covered in black, and their fins will then sort of come of their backs (this is all from speculation I've heard)

That picture is so bad it makes me want to cry. I hope the tails don't look like that. It seems so tacky and fake, having your legs showing, but it may work I suppose (if they even do go with that costume).

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

What about the acting.
The two leads have very limited experience

So? Sierra opened the Las Vegas production of Phantom a relative unkown and did she fail? Absolutely not.

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

Opening a known commodity like PHANTOM in Vegas and Opening an unkown new show on Broadway are two very different things.
I will give her a chance but look what the reviews were for Ashley Brown in POPPINS.
Ashley is an amazing talent but maby she also was a little unseasoned to star just yet.

just saying.

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

If you look at the review for Poppins, they praised Ashley and Gavin saying they were the best part of the show...they never said she wasn't ready for a big role and she played Belle right before that which is another lead and she is one of the best to play Belle in Beauty and The Beast

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

I did read the reviews..Playbill.com even said that all the reviewers praised Ashley and Gavin so I'm pretty sure she was/is ready to be Mary

I would relax about that costume pic if I were you guys, I haven't seen ANYTHING that would connect it to the production.

Question about the upcoming Little Mermaid.

While I still can't see Scott wrapping her voice around "Poor Unfortunate Souls," "All Good Things Must End" should suit her quite well.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
